Los Angeles-based band Los Lobos have always been inspired by their surroundings and their hometown. Her music is influenced by rock and roll, Tex-Mex, country, zydeco, folk, R&B, blues, brown-eyed soul and traditional music such as cumbia, boleros and norteńos. All of these influences can now be heard on Native Sons. They have adopted and reinterpreted the songs of some of the best songwriters in town. 13 songs about LA by famous artists like Buffalo Springfield, WAR, Jackson Browne and The Beach Boys as well as deep cuts by The Jaguars, The Basters and The Premiers. The album title track is the band's only original composition.
